This year the Journal of Health Administration Education introduced an award to recognize the contributions of volunteer peer reviewers. The Peer Reviewer of the Year awardee will have provided reviews on a timely basis that offer relevant, detailed feedback and guidance as to how manuscripts submitted to the Journal can be enhanced in content and presentation.

The 2016 recipient of the Peer Reviewer of the Year is Edmond Hooker, MD, DrPH, from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Professor Hooker, a regular contributor to the Journal, “provided excellent reviews that helped authors significantly improve their work” said Dean Smith, Editor of the Journal.

Persons interested in participating in the volunteer peer review process, and becoming eligible for the Peer Reviewer of the Year award, are encouraged to register at the PeerTrackTM location for the Journal: http://www.editorialmanager.com/jhae/default.aspx. A thank you and call for peer reviewers is contained the Summer issue of the Journal, now available.
