MHA program earns accreditation status
The full-time and executive MHA programs are re-accredited for seven years. The program
received official notice of accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation Healthcare Education (CAHME) in late November. Accreditation status is based on the program’s 2013-14 self-study year in which the program documented operational criteria to meet the highest standards of quality in healthcare management education. 

Alumni board forms philanthropy committee
Consistent with the MHA Alumni Association and Foundation's mission to support the MHA programs, the board has commissioned a newly formed philanthropy committee to work directly with program leadership and staff to develop a shared vision and collaborative plan to support fundraising for student scholarships and program development.  Read more in full edition

Remembering George Johnson
The MHA program has lost a distinguished friend and leader, George Johnson, program director, 1980-2000.  The effects of Johnson’s vision and leadership at the University of Minnesota were immense. During his 20 years with the MHA program, he attracted a top-flight faculty and student body and established relationships with practicing professionals in the community.  Read more in full edition
