Emergency Preparedness & Interprofessional Education Discussion Groups Now Open

Get involved with these two new discussion groups:

  • The Emergency Preparedness Community was created to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information related to emergency preparedness in health care organizations. The purpose of the Community is to raise awareness of the need for health care faculty training in emergency preparedness and to encourage the integration of preparedness course content into health care administration course content.
  • Healthcare service delivery is almost always a collaborative, interprofessional team activity. This characteristic will only increase in importance as the financing of services continues to move towards the assumption of more financial risk by providers. The focus of the Interprofessional Teams Education discussion group (and eventual faculty forum) is to collaboratively learn, develop, communicate, and test best practices for teaching students knowledge and skills required to effectively lead and participate in interprofessional healthcare teams.
