The Institute for Diversity in Health Management, a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association, is seeking minority MHA, MBA & MPH graduate students for summer-long internships with the Summer Enrichment Program (SEP). Since 1994, the SEP has placed over 700 interns in hospitals around the country.

The SEP is a boots-on-the-ground, immersive, 10 week internship that places candidates in hospitals around the country. SEP interns attend board meetings, department meetings and make important connections to hospital leaders to jumpstart their healthcare careers. Some interns are immediately hired for permanent placement at their host sites.

The AHA will also sponsor 10 SEP students for scholarships to attend the AHA Leadership Summit in San Francisco, CA in July, 2015. Selected students will enjoy complimentary conference registration, flights and hotel accommodations and have the opportunity to connect with 1,500 healthcare leaders!

We are currently seeking 1st & 2nd year, underrepresented, MHA, MBA & MPH graduate students to apply for this exciting opportunity.  Registration is open now! Matching for SEP students and hospitals, begins on Feb. 02, 2015. Internships run June – Aug, 2015.

For more information on this program, please visit www.tinyurl.com/SEPstudent or contact Membership & Education Specialist, Chris O. Biddle at 312-422-2658 or cbiddle@aha.org.
