I am a Professor of Healthcare Administration and teach both graduate and undergraduate courses in healthcare administration at Idaho State University’s College of Business.
I hold a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) from Central Michigan University and have had extensive working and teaching experience in academia and several international health care systems. My current research interests focus on evidence-based management in healthcare decision-making, healthcare policy, population health, and comparative health systems.
I am honored and humbled to serve as a board member for the AUPHA. In addition, I am a fellow of the Center for Evidence-based Management, a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a reviewer for the AUPHA certification committees and peer-reviewed journals in healthcare administration and medical/health sciences.
I've received numerous research grants and awards. My published research articles have appeared in the peer-reviewed journals such as American Journal of Management, Journal of Health Administration Education, International Journal of Healthcare Management, Leadership in Health Services, Journal of Community Health, Hospital Topics, Journal of American College Health, and Journal of Medical Informatics.
