Bio

Lindsay W. Loewer, MHA, is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the College of Health Professions at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She joined MUSC's faculty in November of 2014, and served as the Director of Professional Development for the MHA program for several years.  In this role, she was responsible for orchestrating all administrative internships for MUSC’s MHA students. Additionally, she taught an executive skills course to each incoming residential MHA cohort. Mentoring students and providing a strong foundation for professional development is a strong passion of hers.

Lindsay started her current Director of Strategic Initiatives role in December 2019, and focuses a large majority of her time on the strategic growth opportunities that continue to move all programs within our College forward! 

Prior to her academic role, Lindsay served as the Director of Operations for a large, multi-site physician ophthalmology practice in the Charleston area. In this position, she was instrumental in the: acquisition and development of associate physicians, hiring and evaluation of clinical and administrative personnel, successful implementation of a practice-wide electronic health records system, and management of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Meaningful Use measures for each provider.

Lindsay is a 2006 graduate of Virginia Tech, where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She completed her Master of Health Administration at MUSC in 2008.
