Get Involved through AUPHA Faculty Forums

By Chris Anne Sanyer posted 07-16-2019 12:15

AUPHA hosts sixteen Faculty Forums. Each forum focuses on a specific area relating to health administration education. The forums allow members to discuss these topics and share knowledge in an online environment and, once a year, to meet in person to discuss the area more in depth.

Every member is encouraged to join any Faculty Forum of interest. You can join one or join all sixteen. Once you join a forum, you will receive email notifications whenever a discussion post is made to the forum. Members of the forum can reply to posts to add their own insights. More information about how to manage communities and discussion posts are available in this tutorial.

The Faculty Forums are led by Chairs and Chairs-Elect. Faculty Forum Leaders are active members of the forums and volunteer for two-year terms. The main duties of Faculty Forum Leaders are to keep the online forum discussion active and to create the agenda for the in-person Faculty Forum session at the AUPHA Annual meeting. When a Chair has completed their term, the Chair-Elect moves into the Chair position and asks for nominations for Chair-Elect at the AUPHA Annual Meeting.

To encourage participation in the Faculty Forums, the new Faculty Forum Spotlight will highlight two Faculty Forums in each issue of the Exchange.
