AUPHA is pleased to be the recipient of a 2021 Entrecon Community Vibrancy Award. This award, sponsored by
Cox Business, is awarded to community organizations, small businesses, nonprofits, or individuals who are doing amazing things to make communities better and to help create vibrancy, who have shown they are resourceful, inventive, and very creative.
AUPHA was selected as a recipient for listening to the membership and meeting their needs. By acting purposively and intentionally, AUPHA directly improved the lives of our members, our academic community - which includes the faculty and staff in 247 universities in North America and around the world, more than 6,000 individuals. Indirectly, AUPHA impacts an estimated 35,000 undergraduate and graduate students in any given year. In the 20 months since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, AUPHA has experienced higher than anticipated member retention rates (95%, compared to 91% historically) and unprecedented new member growth (over 40 new university program members since March 2020), resulting in the largest university membership for the Association on record.
