Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 John D. Thompson Prize for Young Investigators. In mid-January, AUPHA’s Board of Directors approved the recommendation by the Thompson Prize Selection Committee to revise the criteria and eligibility for the award to better align with AUPHA’s mission, which is to foster excellence and innovation in health management and policy education, and scholarship.
The revised criteria now reflects a balance of accomplishments in education, teaching and research and focuses explicitly on health management and policy research. Preference is now given to faculty at the Associate Professor level who have built an overall record of accomplishment. Junior faculty at the Assistant Professor level may be considered in extraordinary circumstances.
