As was announced in the last issue of The Exchange, Quint Studer will be the keynote speaker for the opening Breakfast Session cohosted by ACHE and AUPHA, the first part of AUPHA’s 2022 Academic and Practitioner Workshop (APPW).  The APPW is scheduled to be held Tuesday, March 29th, 7:00AM through 11:30AM, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, 151 East Wacker Drive.

The presentation, Creating a Culture of Replenishment, will leave attendees with the following:

the ability to assess both at an individual and organizational level the current state of well-being, stress, and trauma;

  • tools and tactics that create consistent processes and behaviors, and ultimately, consistent outcomes; and
  • techniques that help refill and renew the sense of passion that can get temporarily depleted.

Quint, a former AUPHA Board member and long-time friend of AUPHA, began his leadership journey as a teacher.  He then entered the healthcare industry and held leadership positions at Mercy Health System in Wisconsin and Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago.  Quint has spent decades working to make healthcare and education better. Read more about Quint and his contributions to the field here.

The Graduate Program Committee, chaired by AUPHA Board members Laurie Shanderson, PhD, and Rhonda BeLue, PhD, will be finalizing the second portion of the Academic Program and Practitioner Workshop in October. The APPW, in its entirety, ends at approximately 11:30am. Please check the AUPHA website for more details available soon.
