I am a healthcare management educator with 10 years of corporate work experience in the insurance industry, as well as educational consulting background.
My expertise is in healthcare finance as well as long-term care administration.
I am co-editor of a textbook (with Reid Oetjen at the University of Central Florida) published by Health Administration Press in the long-term care field - Dimensions of Long-Term Care Management: An Introduction. This textbook covers all aspects of the long-term care field, and proposes a new model for delivery of long-term care services where technology is a key component. Many of the chapters were written by AUPHA members, and the book has a sample course syllabus, powerpoint slides, case studies with answers as well as a test bank (a good resource for distance learning teaching).
I am also a licensed nursing home administrator, a monthly guest blogger for McKnight's Long-Term Care News, a member of the NAB Education committee and a member of ACHCA's Academy of Long-Term Care Leadership and Development.
