Julia Costich is the Peter P. Bosomworth Professor of Health Services Research at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. She also chaired the department from 2005-2012 and was director of the Master of Health Administration program from 2009-2012 and 2024-2025. She served as director of the state’s injury prevention and research center from 2003-2010 and has continued since then as associate director. Before joining the UK public health faculty in 1998, she administered academic medical programs, practiced health care law, and served as a policy specialist and official for state health care programs. Dr. Costich holds a B.A. from Duke University and M.P.A., Ph.D., and J.D. degrees from the University of Kentucky.
