Educator, researcher and consultant in the health care management field with a primary focus on financial management, high reliability organization development, quality improvement and competency-based educational development. Research interests include determinants of hospital and health system profitability - specifically related to the financial impact of improved quality and patient safety. Additional interests include competency based educational development in the health care management field as well as analysis of high reliability practices in high performing organizations for application to the health care industry, dissemination for business development and use within graduate school curriculum.
