Bio

Mr. Elswick has spent over 40 years in the healthcare industry. Since taking his first job selling newspapers in his hometown hospital he has held titles such as orderly, attendant, nursing assistant, hospital corpsman, medical records manager, trauma center director, director of admissions, director of financial evaluation, business office manager, vice president, senior vice president, chief financial officer, chief executive officer and president. In addition, Shannon has been licensed as a long term care administrator and has managed extensive transition services such as home health, private duty nursing, house calls, utilization review and case management. His undergraduate degree is a BS in Healthcare Administration and his graduate degree is a MSA in Healthcare. Mr. Elswick is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been published on hospitality in healthcare, lean/six sigma and lifestyle medicine. He currently serves as Instructor and Executive in Residence for the Department of Health Management and Informatics at the University of Central Florida.

He lives by a very simple philosophy he calls PRO Leadership (Principle-centered, Relationship-oriented and Outcome-driven). Principles are the ante to be in the game at all. Relationships are the way high-powered teams get things done. And nothing really counts unless consistent and positive Outcomes are produced.
