Experienced hospital administrator and health system executive, serving in key leadership roles in traditional and non-traditional health care settings and academia. Teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) since 1992, and currently serving as Director, Health Care Administration Program.
Faculty advisor for the award winning Future Healthcare Executives (FHE) student organization at UWM since 2013. Faculty advisor for UWM Chapter of Upsilon Phi Delta (UPD) Honor Society for 12 years. Champion for academic service learning and community engagement, and fostering a positive team culture that embraces innovation and growth through diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Wisconsin Chapter, also serving as Chair/Co-Chair of the Leadership Development Program and Founding Chair of the Mentor Program for early careerists, students and emerging leaders. Founding member of Service Committee, with a decade of service on the Membership Committee and Program Committee plus Annual Conference Planning Committee and ACHE Regent Advisory Council-Wisconsin. Served 3-year term as a member of the ACHE Journal of Healthcare Management Editorial Board.
Board member serving 3 consecutive 2-year terms on the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Wisconsin Chapter Board of Directors, serving as Founding Chair of the Mentorship Program and Founding member of the annual Women in Healthcare Leadership Conference planning committee since 2014.
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) Alumni Association Emeritus Board of Trustees, Officer/Secretary. Served consecutive terms as founding member of the new UWM College of Health Sciences Alumni Chapter Board, having previously served as President and Past President of the UWM School of Allied Health Professions Alumni Board of Directors for 16 years. Served consecutive terms on the Cardinal Stritch University Alumni Association Board of Directors; Awards & Recognition Committee Co-Chair and 25th Reunion Planning Committee.
