Bio

Dr. Timothy Novak is the Dean of the LECOM School of Health Services Administration which includes 4 master's programs (MHSA, MPH, MSBE, MS MCT) and a doctor of healthcare administration (DHA) terminal degree.  A senior level executive with history of progressive business and higher education leadership success. He has a deep multi-sector business experience directing corporate creation, strategic expansion, branding and business development in both public and private settings. His business development sectors include; hospital administration, physician practice management, corporate compliance, innovative healthcare products, robotic platforms, commercial sunscreen delivery systems and gourmet foods. He is the business model co-developer and co-author of the 4 Circles of Good Business, published in November 2006. A former board member and treasurer of the CEO Council, Inc., a national organization of public company officers and directors providing information, advice, and counsel to the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) and council membership on business ethics, accountability, and policy. Dr. Novak served as chairman and chief executive officer for two fully reporting publicly traded companies engaged in acquiring and developing innovative healthcare safety, diagnostics and wellness products. Working directly with physician leadership, he helped direct development of new ancillary services, supervised financial reporting, and coordinated all operational aspects of a 100-member OB/GYN management services organization (MSO) with annual revenue exceeding $75,000,000. Mr. Novak has managed the medical credentialing and contracting for a 1,400-member independent physicians association serving 500,000 patients through 13 major hospital systems and 23 payers in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Novak earned his Certified Medical Practice Executive designation through the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) in 1991. He served as business launch competition panel judge for the TIME (The Integration of Management and Engineering) and International Nano Technology forum at Case Western Reserve University. A five year army officer veteran, Captain Novak started his professional medical career as the department of orthopedic surgery administrator at the 500 bed Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu, Hawaii. He was decorated for his development and implementation of innovative healthcare delivery systems both in the hospital and in the 25th Infantry Division (Light) field settings to include the Army Meritorious Service Medal. Dr. Novak is a founding member and past president of The Hardin County Educational Foundation, Inc. In 1999 he was designated a Distinguish Alumni of the Hardin County Schools System.
