Saint Louis University MHA Program Earns CAHME Reaccreditation The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) Board of Directors approved the reaccreditation of Saint Louis University's Master of Health Administration program for an eight-year term. Read more
The Quint Studer Gratitude Prize for Teaching Excellence recognizes individuals from AUPHA member programs for outstanding teaching and mentoring; leadership in educational programming and pedagogy; and dissemination of innovative and promising practices for teaching and mentoring, and course and curriculum development. Starting in 2026, programs interested in pursuing initial undergraduate certification will be required to first enter candidacy status to ensure they are ready for this rigorous peer-review process. AUPHA will host a candidacy status information session on Thursday, January 15, 2026, 3:30-5:00PM Eastern time. All associate undergraduate program members are invited to attend to learn more about the candidacy process, which opens for the first time in January 2026. In June 2025, AUPHA released two updated publications: the Body of Knowledge (BOK) and Curriculum Guidance (CG) . Members can access both of these documents once they are logged into the Network. AUPHA has created two surveys for members to provide constructive feedback on these documents. The first allows members to submit recommended resources for the domains of the BOK and topics of the CG. The second allows members to share comments on the specific content of the domains and/or topics. Having these mechanisms for continuous feedback ensures that time-sensitive improvements can be made immediately, rather than waiting for the next round of revisions. ...

AUPHA recently published the 2025 Program Directors Manual , which updates the information found in the 2010 version. The new Manual has information for undergraduate and master’s level program directors, including chapters on managing students, faculty, and other stakeholders. As a member-only benefit, only individual members or those who are members through their program may access the Manual. The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the American Hospital Association (AHA), and AUPHA have collaborated to produce the upcoming webinar, “ Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders to Meet Today’s Healthcare Challenges .” Scheduled for December 16, 2025, 12:00 – 1:00PM Eastern time, attendees will explore what future leaders need to know as they enter the workforce. AUPHA will host a 90-minute seminar in conjunction with ACHE’s Congress in Houston, Texas, on Sunday, March 1, 2026, 3:00 - 4:30PM Central time, for practitioners curious about ways in which they can support academia. Individuals in the early stages of working with an academic program in healthcare management are also welcome to attend. Registration for the seminar is now open here . The seminar will be followed by a full virtual Leadership Academy course on the same topic, which meets on Zoom on Thursdays, March 19 and 26, April 2 and 9, 4:00 – 5:00PM Eastern time. Submissions are now being accepted for AUPHA's Doctoral Student Essay Competition. Prizes will be awarded for the top three essays, as well as the opportunity to present them at the 2026 Annual Meeting in San Diego, California. Download the AUPHA Doctoral Student Essay Competition Information Sheet , containing eligibility requirements and a link to the submission form. The deadline to submit essays is January 9, 2026, 11:59PM Pacific time.
The application for the 2026 Bachrach Family Scholarship for Excellence in Healthcare Administration will open on December 29, 2025. Students enrolled full-time in an AUPHA full member residential graduate program in healthcare management education, who are entering their second year of study are encouraged to submit an application.
