Association of Future Healthcare Executives hosted Ed Adams Leadership Symposium
AFHE presented its 9th annual Leadership Development Symposium on April 12, 2012 at The Ohio State University.
The student-run event unites current and future healthcare leaders to share information and ideas. This year’s Leadership Development Symposium commemorated the late Ed Adams for his efforts in bringing together healthcare management students and community professionals to discuss leadership development.
Kamilla Sigafoos, MHA, MPHA, CEO for OSU Physicians, presented the keynote address.
Christopher Volpe presented at the TEDx OSU conference
Chris is a Master of Public Health graduate with dual specializations in health behavior and health promotion and global health. He is currently finishing his Master of Health Administration degree. Chris spoke about the new Shift online and mobile application that he and his colleague have been working on for over a year. Shift was designed to help students find out what’s happening at Ohio State and become more engaged with campus.
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading.” The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
