Norton Healthcare MHA Support
On July 9, Norton Healthcare based in Louisville, KY,  announced it will provide $250,000 to endow a professorship in healthcare leadership and also provide $10,000 per year for four years in scholarship support for the University of Kentucky MHA program.  The professorship will support a senior faculty member with extensive healthcare administration and leadership experience. The scholarships will be known as the Norton Healthcare Scholarship in Healthcare Leadership.  The MHA program is very appreciative of these generous contributions.

Successful Reaccreditation Review
The UK Master of Health Administration Program received notification in late May of  CAHME reaccreditation for a seven year period.  The outcome reflects a team effort with contributions from individuals too numerous to mention by name, but  Dr. Julia Costich, Chair of Health Services Management and Director of the MHA program during the reaccreditation process, Dr. Larry Prybil, Associate Dean, and Dr. Mike Smith, Assistant Dean for Evaluation and Planning for the College of Public Health, were the driving force in this successful effort and deserve enormous thanks.
