Joel M. Lee named John A. Drew Professor of Healthcare Administration at the UGA College of Public Health

Long time AUPHA member Joel M. Lee, Dr.P.H. professor of health policy and management and director of the Doctor of Public Health degree program at the College of Public Health at The University of Georgia, has been named the inaugural John A. Drew Professor of Healthcare Administration.

Lee completed his Master of Public Health and Doctor of Public Health degrees in health services administration and organization at the University of Texas’s School of Public Health.  Prior to joining UGA, he served in a variety of academic positions during the formation of the University of Kentucky’s College of Public Health.  In addition to being a governing board member of AUPHA, Lee has been active in other professional associations including as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives Georgia Regent’s Advisory Council and as a member of the Governing Council of the American Public Health Association.
