Executive MHA Instructor elected to Group Health Board of Trustees
Phillip Haas, Clinical Assistant Professor for the Executive MHA Program, was recently elected to a three-year term on the Group Health Cooperative Board of Trustees. Group Health Cooperative is a Seattle-based consumer-governed, nonprofit health care system that coordinates care and coverage for more than 600,000 residents of Washington State and Idaho. The Board of Trustees hires the organization’s chief executive officer and sets the strategy, policy, and direction for Group Health. Eleven trustees are elected by Group Health members.
Douglas Conrad, PhD, Professor of Health Services, continues research on Health Care Payment Reform, evaluating eight projects across seven sites. The projects are implementing various delivery system and payment reforms to change cost and quality. Conrad hopes to draw cross-cutting lessons by comparing and contrasting the processes of implementation and the outcomes of the selected state and regional projects.
