Student Trip to Chicago. This April, the first-year MHA and MPH in Policy students traveled to Chicago to observe healthcare delivery in an urban environment, network with alumni, and hear a variety of presentations. The trip began with visits to the AMA and the AHA corporate headquarters, where students were introduced to careers outside of the hospital setting and the current policy priorities of these organizations. The trip also included tours and presentations at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Lurie Children’s Hospital, the Vanguard Health System Corporate Office, and John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The students remarked on the opportunity to explore the contrast between a specialty hospital, a newly-constructed hospital, a corporate office, and a safety-net hospital during their trip
