The five-year old undergraduate Health Systems Management program at Loyola University Chicago continues to enjoy tremendous growth. The program now has over 100 alumni, 145 current students and the largest freshman class since inception with 30 declared majors. Alumni are represented in graduate programs in healthcare and business administration, law, public health, as well as employed in all sectors of the healthcare industry. Mary C. Dominiak, PhD, RN, MBA who founded the program has left Loyola University Chicago but will continue her involvement as adjunct faculty. Marymargaret Sharp-Pucci, PhD, MPH has been named program director. Dr. Sharp-Pucci also directs Loyola’s M.S. degree program in Quality, Patient Safety and Information Technology. This new program launches in Fall 2013 and is intended for individuals seeking graduate study and credentials in quality and safety science.
