On April 8-9, 2016, UAB’s Department of Health Services Administration culminated its yearlong celebration of our 50th Anniversary with a weekend  of activities, including class reunions, campus tours who   and an evening of dancing, reminiscing and looking toward the future. Oover 500 alumni, faculty, and students, and friends attended the Gala.

Stephanie McCutcheon, Principal of McCutcheon and Co, will deliver the Van Zile Scott Endowed Lecture on September 15, 2016 in conjunction with UAB's annual Preceptor’s Conference. This is the launchpad for the administrative residency process for the Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) Program. We will also host a “Career Networking Expo” for recent graduates of the Executive MSHA Program.

In collaboration with Brookwood Baptist Health, the Department will coordinate and sponsor the 2nd InnoHack on November 4-5, 2016.  Innovation Depot  will be the site for the 24-hour hackathon which brings students from across the campus including medicine, public health, nursing, business, engineering and computer science and employees from area healthcare entities together to solve a pressing issue that impacts healthcare in Alabama.
