For the 12th year, HIMSS and AUPHA are supporting the Academic Forum, held in conjunction with the HIMSS Annual Meeting. This year the conference is in Orlando from February 19 to 23, 2017. The Academic Forum will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, February 19th. Because HIMSS is a little earlier this year, the Call for Abstracts is a also a little earlier than in the past. Please start thinking about submitting an abstract for the peer review process. The submissions are due October 17th and the selected authors will be notified by November 14th.
Once again, AUPHA members are eligible to register at a discounted rate of $145. This offer runs through December 1st. Please use code HIMSS17FAC at registration. This discounted rate is available to full-time faculty only. Adjunct or part-time faculty are not eligible.
If you are considering attending HIMSS or submitting an abstract for consideration, you are advised to reserve a hotel room right away, as nearly 43,000 attendees are expected. You can secure your room before you register for the meeting.
