Each year, The National Capital Healthcare Executives (NCHE) chapter of ACHE hosts an essay competition that challenges local graduate students to consider a pressing issue in healthcare and recommend solutions. This year, the topic was to write from the perspective of a healthcare leader who received a large donation to implement a health-oriented program to improve community health status. Winners were recognized during the 2013 C-Suite Roundtable on November 7th that was held at the George Washington University. Nora Albert, a second year MHA student at George Washington University, was the grand prize winner of this year's $2000 scholarship prize for her essay entitled, "Asthma Begins at Home: Loosening the Grip of Poverty on Children's Airways."
