The Department of Health Services Management and Leadership is proud to
announce that Ms. Temitope Olumoko has recently been named a recipient
of the Albert Dent Graduate Student Scholarship sponsored by ACHE.
Temitope is a second year
student in our MHA degree program. This past summer, she was an
Administrative Intern at the University of Maryland Faculty Physicians,
Inc. (FPI) in Baltimore, MD. Prior to coming to GW, Temitope practiced
as a Physician Assistant for almost 10 years.Over
a decade ago, she also founded and established a health ministry in her
church community located in downtown Silver Spring, MD. She perceived a
demand for health education and preventative guidance among the
congregation and the local community, and acted
upon it. In addition to organizing health fairs, Temitope was
privileged to embark on a medical mission to Lagos, Nigeria, to cater to
the wellness needs of medically indigent persons in several towns
across Nigeria.
