AUPHA is pleased to announce the 2016 Corris Boyd Scholarship recipients: Patara Williams and Lee Nathan Salazar.
Established in 2006 to provide scholarships to two deserving minority students entering full AUPHA member programs, the program
honors Corris Boyd, a senior healthcare executive with HealthTrust Purchasing Group and HCA, who was a proponent of excellence and leadership
and dedicated to increasing diversity.
Ms. Williams, a graduate of Baylor University, plans to enter Xavier University this fall and pursue a joint Master in Health Services Administration
and a Master of Business Administration. Mr. Salazar, a graduate of Brigham Young University, will pursue a Master of health Administration at the University of Washington, Seattle.
