ARLINGTON, Va.  and GULF BEACH, Fla. – The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), in partnership with Studer Group, LLC., is pleased to announce the availability of new teaching resources for AUPHA members, built to support several best selling healthcare books.

“Many of our books were already being used in the education arena. We wanted to reinforce the content with resources that make the book content more didactic.  It also allowed us to show our support for the tremendous work AUPHA does.” Quint Studer, CEO of Studer Group, stated.

Through this partnership, AUPHA members will have access to educational materials such as teaching notes and presentations, discussion questions and answers, exam questions, classroom exercises, writing assignments, and/or team projects.

Developed by AUPHA members who currently teach in healthcare management education programs, through a generous grant from Studer Group, LLC, the curricular resources provide substantial material with a highly practical and applicable focus to supplement theoretical foundations provided through commonly used textbooks.  Publications to be addressed include:

  • Hardwiring Excellence by Quint Studer provides tools and tips to drive bottom-line results for creating and sustaining a culture of service and operational excellence.
  • Eat THAT Cookie by Liz Jazwiec, RN, offers individuals, teams, and organizations relatable and realistic tactics to infuse positivity into workplace culture.
  • Straight A Leadership by Quint Studer is a leader study guide to help organizations achieve the peak performance needed to survive in the toughest environments.
  • Hardwiring Flow: Systems and Processes for Seamless Patient Care by Dr. Thom Mayer and Dr. Kirk Jensen examines the systems and processes that allow healthcare providers to execute their tasks efficiently and effectively, thus maximizing the time spent with patients and smoothing the flow of the patient care process.
  • Engaging Physicians by Dr. Stephen Beeson offers a tested, staged approach to create physician loyalty, improve physician partnership, and generate superior organizational performance.

“The Studer Group has been tremendously committed to AUPHA and the advancement of healthcare management education,” said Lydia Middleton, president and CEO. “This is another example of their willingness to support new ideas and develop resources of value to our members.”

The new educational resources will be added to the AUPHA Network, a private online community for healthcare management educators, as they become available from now through early 2011. Copies of these publications are available to AUPHA members at a discount in the online store.
