CSUN’s Health Administration program has some exciting things happening beginning Academic Year 2011-2012. First our degree name is changing from an option in Health Sciences to a BS in Health Administration. Then we are adding some great faculty. Our Chair Dr. Brian Malec is coming back into our program full time. We also recruited from outside the University Dr. Stephan Chung who is coming in as an Associate Professor. From inside, we promoted Dr. Frankline Augustin from an Instructor to Assistant Professor tenure-track. We are also very proud of our recent hire Dr. Salvador Esparza who obtained his doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina receiving the First Honor Graduate for the DHA program. Drs. Jerome Seliger and Janet Reagan are in the Faculty Early Retirement program and will be teaching only part time for the next few years. We just finished a one year grant with the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development placing our students in externships in our Klotz Student Health Center and in the community organization MEND (Meeting Each Need with Dignity).  Drs. Frankline Augustin and Louis Rubino were the co-PIs on the grant.
