Jared Dunlap will enter the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University this fall and pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Healthcare Management. Dunlap is from Cloquet, MN and graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Indian Studies with a Focus in Pre-Medicine/Health. "I am extremely honored and grateful to have been selected as a Corris Boyd Scholarship recipient,” says Dunlap. “I am humbled by the opportunity to honor Mr. Boyd's legacy through my continued education, leadership, and service that will benefit American Indian communities. I am thankful for this contribution allowing me to accomplish my dreams within higher education.”
The HCA Corris Boyd Scholars Program annually provides scholarships to two deserving minority students. The program was established in 2006 in honor of Corris Boyd, a senior healthcare executive with HealthTrust Purchasing Group and HCA. Mr. Boyd was dedicated to increasing diversity and a proponent of excellence in leadership. He died in 2005.
