Knowledge is Power: Find Yours with BEHM

AUPHA is placing the power to better lead your program and your career in your hands with the Benchmarking for Education in Healthcare Management (BEHM) platform.  This multi-dimensional platform provides you, AUPHA member program faculty, the opportunity to enter program and compensation data and then compare your data with that of other AUPHA members.

Last summer, AUPHA launched the Operations portal, which replaced the Annual Program Survey, for programs to compare their program, enrollment, and faculty data against fellow AUPHA member programs.  Program Directors were given access to the portal, which is now accepting 2013 program data.  Now that it is in its second cycle, programs will also be able to do year-over-year comparisons of its own data to see how they are progressing.

The newest portal, the Compensation & Benefits portal, was just launched this past March.  It replaces the annual Faculty Compensation Survey and allows individual program faculty the opportunity to enter their compensation and benefits data and then compare themselves against all other faculty at AUPHA member programs.  While the portal is currently in a data collection phase, faculty are encouraged to visit the portal and complete their data in advance of the launch of comparisons and reports.  This feature will be enabled on Monday, June 10, 2013.

Login information for both portals were previously sent; however, if you are in need of your information, please contact us at benchmark@aupha.org.  You can log in to the platform at benchmark.aupha.org

Questions on the use of the platform can be directed to Lacey Meckley, Director of Membership, at lmeckley@aupha.org

Frequently Asked Questions

I have entered 50% of my data, but I am receiving a message saying that my account does not allow access to comparison data.  Why am I not able to compare my data?

The portal is currently in a data collection phase.  During this time, reports are disabled to allow for the collection of data. This feature will be enabled on Monday, June 10, 2013, which will provide all member faculty the opportunity to enter their data for the best data pull possible.

I am concerned that people will be able to filter the data down enough to figure out who has entered the information.

The portal is set up to only show data with 7 or more participant matches.  If you select a series of filters that return less than 7 participants, you will receive an error message.

How can I be assured that the information I enter is confidential and secure?

This is a secure platform, accessed by all faculty and administration with a unique username and password.  Your information is safe and there is not a way for any faculty member using the system to find out whose information is being filtered in comparisons and reports.  As with any online system, we cannot offer an absolute guarantee against hackers.

Does this portal replace the former BEHM platform?

No.  The BEHM platform now consists of two separate portals, the Operations Portal and the Compensation & Benefits Portal.  Each portal requires a unique username and password to access.  Programs are still able to log in via the username and password that was sent back in 2012 to enter its program information.
