Three students from New York emerged victorious among 29 teams from the premier healthcare management programs in the country in the 5th annual Health Administration Case Competition hosted by UAB and sponsored by the UAB Health System. Amelia Shapiro, Doran Ricks, and Lidia Bernik, all part-time students in the Baruch/Mt. Sinai College program, put together the strongest combination of recommendations and presentation style to win the competition after a long day of presentations and judging.

Two students from the University of Central Florida, Natalia Warren and Sarah Cox, took second place in the competition, and a team from the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill, comprised of Andy Wilkinson, Emily Stallings and Nathan Barbo placed third. Teams from George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University and Penn State University also competed in the finals.

AUPHA congratulates all of the teams that competed and applauds the considerable effort made by these remarkable students over the last 3 weeks.
