The 6th Annual AUPHA Academic Forum will be held in connection with the 2011 HIMSS Conference.  This year the format will feature peer reviewed research papers that focus on applied aspects of healthcare information technology (HIT).  The second half of the Forum will be a workshop focusing on the development of HIT curriculum for graduate education in healthcare administration programs within AUPHA. 

HIMSS and AUPHA are collaborating on a long-term initiative to develop, package, market, train faculty and distribute curriculum materials to improve the HIT in health administration education.  The workshop will focus on HIT competencies needed by every graduate student and strategies for the development of learning modules, exercises, and full courses that will achieve competency in HIT.  Everyone is welcome to attend both the research presentation and the HIT workshop.

HIMSS and AUPHA have negotiated a registration fee discount so that all AUPHA faculty paid $120.  Go to the link below, register as member or non-member (it does not matter) insert the code DFCAUPHA and at the end you will see the fee of $120.  Hotels are going very quickly, so click on hotel information and book a room.
