About the 2011 AUPHA Leaders Conference
AUPHA is excited to hold its annual Leaders Conference in partnership with the American College of Healthcare Executives during the
ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership. Please join colleagues from the worlds of practice and academe at the AUPHA Leaders Conference to explore the vital roles that each community plays in developing and preparing the future leaders of the healthcare industry. The purpose of the Leaders Conference is to discuss and exchange the latest developments in educating future healthcare leaders.
We will kick off the meeting with the joint AUPHA/ACHE Breakfast. Our feature presentation will be “
Practice and Academe: Sharing the Responsibility of Preparing Future Leaders”. A panel of individuals from both communities will share their thoughts, experiences, and successes around helping students bridge the transition from academics to the “real world”, what competencies it is reasonable to expect a recent graduate to possess, and what competencies can only be attained once an individual begins to practice what they’ve learned.
Immediately following breakfast, we will hold two sets of concurrent education sessions. Wrapping up Leaders Conference will be a panel session titled,
“What is HAMPCAS? Everything You Wanted to Know about AUPHA’s New Centralized Application Service". This panel will discuss and demonstrate this valuable service for health administration programs. To learn more about HAMPCAS, please
