The 6th Annual AUPHA Academic Forum is being held in conjunction with HIMSS-2012 in Las Vegas on February 20, 2012, at the Venetian Hotel. This is a primer peer reviewed research symposium focusing on practical issues and engaging academics and practitioners. This year's papers will be presented by:
- Eta Berner, EdD, Professor of Health Services Administration, University of Alabama at Birmingham
- Jay Shen, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Health Care Administration and Policy, University of Nevada - Las Vegas
- Jeffrey Helton, PhD, Assistant Professor of Healthcare Management, The University of Texas
Dr. Margaret Schulte will present and chair a focus group on the HIT Curriculum Project funded by HIMSS. The project is developing HIT curriculum modules for use in graduate health administration education. Dr. Schulte and module authors will be present to discuss their approaches to improving and enhancing the HIT content in graduate programs.
