AUPHA is holding the 2012 Leaders
Conference on Tuesday, March 20, in Chicago at the Hyatt
Regency. Leaders Conference takes place in conjunction with the 2012 ACHE
Congress, and attracts primarily graduate faculty and breakout sessions
generally focus on issues of program management as opposed to teaching.
The Conference is launched with the joint AUPHA/ACHE Breakfast, which provides
faculty an opportunity to hear about issues of relevance to the education and
practice community, and is followed up by three sets of content
sessions.
This year’s Keynote Speaker is Major General David Rubenstein,
Commanding General of the US Army Medical Department Center & School, and
Chief of the US Army Medical Service Corps. Major General Rubenstein
will draw upon his years of military leadership experience, as well as his
knowledge of healthcare management and healthcare management education, to
address the current and future challenges facing tomorrow’s healthcare leaders
and how we, as academics and practitioners, can play a role in best preparing
them to face those challenges and improve the healthcare system.

including session descriptions, travel and hotel details, on the 2012 Leaders Conference website.
