HAMPCAS Prepares for the Fourth Admissions Cycle

As the third HAMPCAS cycle comes to a close, AUPHA and the HAMPCAS Advisory Council reflect on the current status, the progress that has been made, and ultimately, the needs HAMPCAS will fulfill moving forward. Over the past three years, HAMPCAS has provided applicants with a convenient way to apply to multiple master’s degree programs by way of a single, web-based application. Nearly forty member programs, representing both the geographic and academic settings that AUPHA represents, have partnered with the Association to reach prospective students and streamline the application process.

As current HAMPCAS participants prepare for the next cycle, AUPHA works to implement new enhancements. Admissions staff  look forward to enhanced review tools, including applicant summaries, a rolling deadline feature, and the ability to blind select application panels from reviewers. IT staff are also looking forward to API, or Automatic Data Export, functionality to strengthen the CASs relationship with Student Information Systems.

Collaboration continues with Liaison International to introduce a new platform, CAS 3.0, focusing on an improved applicant experience with an intuitive and modern interface, improved workflow tools, and enhanced mobile capabilities and alerts. The platform will also bring flexibility to programs, providing the option to customize the application with each program’s brand colors and logo, essays and questions, and additional evaluations, allowing for a tailored, yet centralized, process.

AUPHA looks forward to continued partnerships and the addition of several member schools to the Service in the fourth cycle. General training sessions are underway for incoming HAMPCAS schools, with additional webinars to review enhancements to the system after the fourth cycle launches on September 10th. For more information about registering for a HAMPCAS admission-portal training session, having a HAMPCAS representative visit your admissions department, or how your school can easily take part in HAMPCAS, please contact Stephanie Williams.
