The Winston Fellowship Board has committed an additional $50,000 to the Winston Health Policy Scholarship Program for 2013-2014, now providing ten $10,000 scholarships to students demonstating a commitment to health policy.
The objective of the DAVID A. WINSTON HEALTH POLICY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM is to increase the number and quality of individuals trained in healthcare policy at the state and federal level by awarding deserving health policy students financial support to further their education.
The DAVID A. WINSTON HEALTH POLICY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM recognizes student excellence and achievement based upon the student’s record, recommendations from faculty and colleagues, and evidence of their interest in and committment to health policy. Ten $10,000 scholarships will be offered to students who demonstrate their potential to succeed in health policy at the state or federal level upon graduation from their master’s health administration and/or health policy degree program. In the fall following selection, students will be hosted at a 1-day health policy symposium in Washington, DC.
Student application information will be sent to programs the week of Febuary 18.
