Western Governors University is an online university driven by a mission to expand access to higher education through online, competency-based degree programs. The MBA HC program is specifically designed for those in an array of leadership roles as well as those transitioning into healthcare from a different industry to develop strong health care leaders by strengthening the student's analytical and critical thinking skills. The MBA HC program currently has 418 students and 121 graduates. A team of faculty and other subject-matter experts identify the required competencies. Competencies summarize the critical knowledge and skill levels essential for mastery. WGU students demonstrate mastery of competencies by completing assessments.
Through attending this webinar, attendees will understand what elements/competencies should be considered in developing a new MBA healthcare management program, understand the role of the subject matter experts and faculty in development of the MBA HM program, and understand how to ensure fairness in assessment development for an MBA HM program.
