AUPHA is investigating the addition of a new member benefit to our slate of growing program member benefits. The latest is a web-based centralized application service that allows your program applicants to apply to multiple health administration programs through a single portal. This would be a free service to our member programs and would be initially made available to graduate programs, though if there is a means to make it workable in an undergraduate setting we will explore that as well.
In order to provide you complete information on the service and better understand your needs in this arena, AUPHA is co-hosting a webinar with Liaison Int'l, the application service vendor. During the webinar we will provide a comprehensive description of the service, the benefits to you and your applicants, and provide ample time to answer any questions. You will be receiving an invitation to attend this complimentary informational webinar, to be held on both Wednesday, July 28th from 1:00-2:00pm ET and on Thursday, July 29th from 1:00-2:00pm ET. Please watch your email for the invitation and instructions to join one of the webinars.
If employed, the service will be a benefit included in your AUPHA membership (no additional cost to member programs). There are many benefits to the applicants, to the profession, and to the advisors of the health professions. There are also many benefits to the programs who use the service. Some of those benefits are as follows:
- Provide admissions officers with secure, on-line access to track progress of their applicants and view application details in real-time
- Increase exposure to a larger applicant pool, including applicants from minority populations
- Streamline the admissions process and reduce administrative tasks, thereby allowing existing staff to focus on higher level interaction with applicants
- Schools/programs receive verified and standardized applicant information for easier review (letters of recommendation, test scores, international transcripts)
- Allows schools to track where applicants reside
- Provide program-specific U. S. and profession-wide statistical reports on applicants
- Provide Web and dedicated phone support to admissions officers and their applicants
- Provide an ideal platform for sharing best practices among member programs
Thank you in advance for taking part in one of the webinars. We genuinely appreciate your input and hope to bring you this service in the future.
Best regards,
Liane Pinero-Kluge
