I am a health economist, who started out from the mainstream, neoclassical approach, but over the past decade have seen that behavioral economics provides a more realistic framework for analyzing issues in health care. More specifically, I think that behavioral economics both explains and predicts individual and collective behavior in health care. My book, Irrationality in Health Care, demonstrates that approach.
