Shari Kinney has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Human Development from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She has a Master of Science in Nursing, Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Oklahoma. Shari has over 30 years of professional practice experience including hospital clinical management, public health practice at the state level including grants and program management, and experience managing public health practice at a local county health department. Her teaching experience includes undergraduate nursing, and for the last 14 years she has taught graduate public health students, first as an adjunct and most recently as an Assistant Professor in the University of Oklahoma College of Public Health. Her research interests include Public Health Services and Systems, Health Policy and Inter professional Education. She currently teaches Public Health Practicum Preparation, U.S. Healthcare Systems, and Integrated Public Health Practice. She is the coordinator for Public Health Practicum.
