HAMPCAS Graduate Information Sessions' Impact

By AUPHA Exchange posted 12-17-2024 10:22

For the first time this fall, AUPHA hosted three Graduate Program Information Sessions geared towards undergraduate students considering graduate school. These sessions attracted approximately 60 unique prospective students and featured 30 programs using HAMPCAS.

The data below offers early insight into the impact of the additional visibility these sessions provided.

Year 1 – Year 2 Cycle Unique Applicants as of December, Year 1 Designations* as of December, Year 1
2024-2025 Cycle 138 258
2023-2024 Cycle 111 186
2022-2023 Cycle 116 186

*Applicants may submit applications to several programs. Each application is called a “designation” with the HAMPCAS system.

All AUPHA graduate program members are eligible to use the Health Administration Management Centralized Application Service (HAMPCAS) free of charge. HAMPCAS is designed to simplify the application experience for students while easing administrative burdens for universities. Using HAMPCAS, students can browse universities and apply to multiple programs by completing just one application. For data on student application numbers and demographics for HAMPCAS, please refer to page 35 of AUPHA’s most recent Annual Report.

HAMPCAS Informational Webinar

AUPHA will host an informational webinar about HAMPCAS, open to all members with graduate programs, on February 26, 2025, 1-2PM Eastern time. The webinar will feature several programs already using HAMPCAS, as well as AUPHA's technology partner, Liaison International. The session will cover the diverse ways different universities use HAMPCAS, which range from a portal to collect applications that is integrated with existing software (Banner, Peoplesoft, etc.) to a full application processing system. Interested participants can register here.
