AUPHA’s Leadership Academy will offer Advanced 21st Century Leadership in person in Houston, Texas, this March in conjunction with ACHE’s Congress. This course, developed and taught by Gerry Ibay, MHA, JD, and Halley Reeves, MPH, MCP, both of The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, explores advanced principles of leadership, including a deep dive into emotional intelligence, effective communication, difficult conversations, and teamwork, as well as the additional topics of talent management and fostering inclusive environments. It is open to those who have taken the introductory course, An Introduction to 21st Century Leadership, or those who have already mastered foundational leadership skills through experience. To augment the existing Leadership Academy courses, AUPHA has released an RFP for the development of an additional course, Leadership for All: Fostering Opportunity, Belonging, and Success. Members interested in submitting a proposal may view the full RFP here. Proposals must be submitted no later than Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:59PM Pacific time.
