Upsilon Phi Delta (UPD) Chapters awarded $8,500 in UPD Scholarships to 23 students.
The goal of the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is to encourage interest in academic preparation, promote activity that will elevate the standards, ideals, competence, and ethics of inductees, and recognize academic achievement and outstanding contributions to the profession. The UPD Scholarship Program was established in 2014 to further the goals and mission of the honor society and recognize students for academic excellence.
UPD Chapters are selected by random draw each year to award the $500 scholarships. Once a chapter has been selected to award a scholarship, that chapter will not be eligible to award another scholarship until all UPD chapters have had the opportunity to award a scholarship. The funds for the scholarships come from the annual $100 fee programs pay to sponsor a UPD Chapter.
