To encourage robust participation in the AUPHA Network and to provide the greatest opportunity for members to connect and share their knowledge and expertise, AUPHA staff conducted a comprehensive review of the Faculty Forums. Per the
Discussion Group and Faculty Forum Policy and Guidelines, the AUPHA Board of Directors have approved the following changes to several AUPHA Network Faculty Forums.
Cultural Perspectives and Inclusive Excellence Faculty Forum The Advancing Women Leaders in Healthcare Faculty Forum and Cultural Perspectives Faculty Forum have been combined due to the similarity of forum objectives and to broaden the reach of the forum.
Ethics and Law Faculty Forum“Law” has been added to the former Ethics Faculty Forum to provide a forum for the topic of law.
Management and Leadership Faculty Forum“Leadership” has been added to the former Management and Case Studies Faculty Forum to provide a forum for the topics of teaching leadership and scholarship. “Case Studies” has been removed from the name of the forum to encourage all forums to focus on case studies relevant to those forums.
Distance Learning Faculty ForumThe Online Teaching and Technology Faculty Forum and Online Program Directors Faculty Forum have been combined due to the similarity of forum objectives and to broaden the reach of the forum.
Public and Population Health Faculty Forum“Population” has been added to the former Public Health Faculty Forum to provide a forum for the topic of population health.
Quality and Safety Faculty Forum“Safety” has been added to the former Quality Improvement Faculty Forum to provide a forum for the topic of safety.
Competency Model Discussion GroupThe name of the former NCHL Competency Model Users Discussion Group has been changed for greater inclusivity.
Medical Group Practice/Ambulatory Care Discussion GroupThe Medical Group Practice/Ambulatory Care Faculty Forum has been moved to Discussion Group status due to limited activity.
