Howard University is deeply committed to producing generations of healthcare professionals who will build access to care for underrepresented and under-resourced communities nationwide. That commitment is growing through the university's 100% online Master of Health Administration (MHA) Degree Program. Offered through the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, our MHA Degree Program is an Associate Graduate Program Member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
Graduates will be marketable professionals prepared to be leaders and innovators in the fastest-projected growth sector of all occupations. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 28 percent from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations (https://www.bls.gov/ooh/management/medical-and-health-services-managers.htm).
Our program is committed to educating and retaining candidates who will:
- Plan, coordinate, and direct the business activities of healthcare providers
- Thrive within an environment that fosters interprofessional and interdisciplinary team collaboration to provide exceptional healthcare services for all stakeholders
- Become scholar-practitioners bridging the gap between theory and practice in the healthcare administration field
