Important News about the Academic Program and Practitioner Workshop (APPW)

By Jaime Stephens, CMP, CAE posted 11-21-2020 10:18

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) announced last week that their 2021 Congress will, once again, be held virtually, to ensure the health and safety of all attendees.  As a result, AUPHA ‘s Academic Program and Practitioner Workshop (APPW), scheduled to be held in conjunction with Congress, will also be held in a virtual format.

We are delighted to announce the joint ACHE/AUPHA keynote speaker, Ruth Williams-Brinkley, Regional President, Mid-Atlantic States, at Kaiser Permanente.  This presentation, scheduled to be held on March 23, 2021 will also serve as the first segment of AUPHA’s 2021 Academic Program and Practitioner Workshop (APPW), formerly known as the Graduate Program and Practitioner Workshop.  The Workshop was recently renamed to better reflect the openness and inclusiveness of the event and to reinforce the fact that all participants, whether from undergraduate or graduate programs, are welcome. This year’s Workshop will revolve around the theme of Achieving Inclusive Excellence at the Intersection of Healthcare and Higher Education and will feature the joint ACHE/AUPHA keynote along with two additional virtual sessions.

Information on the days and exact times of the keynote and two accompanying sessions and how to register for the Workshop will be sent out in early December.

We look forward to seeing you virtually this March.
