Join a Certification Review Team

Is your undergraduate program interested in becoming AUPHA certified? If yes, please consider volunteering to be an assistant reviewer for the upcoming 2020 certification review process. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the ins and outs of AUPHA certification. Assistant reviewers participate on a four-member review team which conducts a thorough peer review of a certifying or re-certifying program. The only requirement to serve as an assistant reviewer is to be a faculty member at any AUPHA graduate or undergraduate program. Assistant reviewers fully participate in the entire review process but are not voting members of the team. Serving as an assistant reviewer starts the pathway for members to eventually serve as voting reviewers and even chair a team in subsequent years.

The review process starts in late November 2019 and runs through September 2020. More details about the process itself, including a timeline, are available on the AUPHA certification website. All review team members must be able to attend the 2020 AUPHA Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City from June 3 to 5. Volunteers will receive a stipend to help defray costs of attending the meeting.

If you are interested or have any questions about this opportunity, please contact me at mryan@aupha.org or 202-851-4048.
